Soil and Water announces winners of photo contest

The judging for the sixth annual Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Photo Contest is complete. SWCD thanks all those who submitted their entries. This year saw the most participants yet.

Judges Jeffrey Engel, Hamilton County resident and professional photographer, and Kristy Stultz, DNR Division of Entomology and Plant Pathology, selected winners from the youth and adult categories.

Winners in the Fireflies and Other Beneficial Insects category are:

  • First Place (Adult): Heather Sutton, Ready for Takeoff
  • Honorable Mention (Adult): Heather Sutton, Wild and Free
  • First Place (Youth): Thomas Holden, Lantern
  • Honorable Mention (Youth): Mary Sebbas, Darkness Awaits
