The IHSAA announced the pairings for this year’s boys and girls soccer sectional tournaments on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The boys tournament begins on Monday, Oct. 6. Fishers will host Class 3A Sectional 8, a seven-team site.
The Tigers play Muncie Central in a first-round game on Monday, with the winner to play Anderson in the Oct. 8 semifinals. Richmond takes on Mt. Vernon in another first-round game on Tuesday, Oct. 7, to be followed by Hamilton Southeastern playing Pendleton Heights. The Tuesday winners play each other the next day in the semifinals.
Noblesville hosts Class 3A Sectional 9 at Hallmark Orthodontics Soccer Complex. In Monday first-round games, Carmel plays North Central, then the Millers take on Westfield, with the winners facing off in the first Oct. 8 semifinal. Zionsville plays Brebeuf Jesuit in the second semifinal.
Guerin Catholic will host Class 2A Sectional 24. That sectional begins Monday with Park Tudor playing Tri-West in the first round, followed by Hamilton Heights taking on Heritage Christian. The winners play the first Oct. 8 semifinal, with the second semifinal to be contested between the host Golden Eagles and Western Boone.
University and Sheridan will compete in Class 1A Sectional 40 at North Putnam, a seven-team site. Dates and times have not yet been announced.
The Blackhawks play Covenant Christian in the first round, while the Trailblazers take on Traders Point Christian. The Sheridan-Covenant winner will play Bethesda Christian in the semifinals, while the University-Traders Point winner takes on the winner of a first-round game between Southmont and North Putnam in the other semifinal.
Girls draw
The girls tournament starts on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Hamilton Southeastern hosts the seven-team Class 3A Sectional 8.
Action begins with a Tuesday first-round game between Fishers and Pendleton Heights. The opening round continues Oct. 8 with the host Royals playing Anderson, followed by Noblesville taking on Mt. Vernon. The semifinals are set for Oct. 9; Muncie Central plays the Fishers-Pendleton Heights winner in the first game, while the winners of Wednesday’s games play the second semifinal.
Carmel and Westfield travel to Zionsville for Class 3A Sectional 9. The games begin Tuesday with Lawrence Central playing Lawrence North in a first-round contest; the winner advances to play the Shamrocks in the first Oct. 9 semifinal.
The Greyhounds take on Zionsville Oct. 8 in a first-round game, followed by a game between Cathedral and North Central. The winners from that day will play the second semifinal on Oct. 9.

The Golden Eagles will play Bishop Chatard in Tuesday’s lone first-round game, with the winner advancing to meet Brebeuf Jesuit in the second Oct. 9 semifinal. The first semifinal will see the Huskies play the host Panthers.
Sheridan hosts Class 1A Sectional 38. The Blackhawks begin play Tuesday with a first-round game against Alexandria. The winner of that contest takes on the winner of another Tuesday game between Lafayette Central Catholic and North White in the first Oct. 9 semifinal. Rossville and Faith Christian play the second semifinal game.
University will travel to Cardinal Ritter for the seven-team Class 1A Sectional 41. The Trailblazers will play Covenant Christian in a first-round game on Oct. 8, with Cardinal Ritter taking on Christel House Academy in the opening round that same night. The two winners advance to the second Oct. 9 semifinal contest. Scecina and Bethesda Christian play a first-round contest on Tuesday, with the winner playing Heritage Christian in the first semifinal game.
All championship games are set for Saturday, Oct. 11.
