Single vehicle accident leaves one injured

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team is investigating a serious injury crash which occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, Aug. 13. Dispatchers with Hamilton County Public Safety Communications were notified of a single vehicle crash on 236th Street just west of Cammack Road in the north central part of the county with the caller initially stating that the driver could not be found.

Deputies and crash investigators working at the scene stated a white 1995 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling eastbound on 236th Street when, for unknown reasons, it left the pavement on the north side of the roadway and continued east paralleling the street. The vehicle struck a concrete post and a rock causing it to roll over. The driver, identified as Joseph L. Burrow, 21, Noblesville, was located outside the vehicle when deputies arrived at the scene of the crash. The crash report notes that Burrow was not restrained in the vehicle.

Burrow was taken by ground ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital on 86th Street with injuries listed as broken bones and internal injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle, nor was anyone else injured in the crash. As with all serious injury crashes, toxicology tests were conducted with results pending at this time.
