Sheridan volleyball plays at ISD tournament

The Sheridan volleyball team played at the Indiana School for the Deaf tournament on Saturday.
In their first match, the Blackhawks lost to Indiana Deaf 25-12, 25-13. Kendra Blankenship served one ace and assisted in one block. Kenzie Garner hit five kills and also made a block assist. Valerie Adams had two kills, Nova Cross handed out five assists and Jacquellynne Bates collected two digs.
Sheridan fell to Eastern Hancock 25-9, 25-15 in its second game. Cross dished out two assists and hit one ace. Garner had two kills, two solo blocks and one ace. Claudia Headlee made two digs.
The Blackhawks dropped their third match of the day to Southwestern 25-19, 25-15. Garner had two kills, two solo blocks, two block assists and one ace. Emma Settles also served an ace, while Headlee had four digs. Cross collected five digs in addition to two assists and two kills, while Blankenship had two block assists.
Sheridan will host Herron on Tuesday.
