Halloween has arrived in Allison Waitt’s Digital Design Graphics class at Sheridan High School, where students are transforming themselves into zombies using Adobe Photoshop.
Every October, Mrs. Waitt kicks off her spooky-themed Photoshop projects by challenging students to create their own zombie transformations. Using photo-editing tools and digital design techniques, students learn how to manipulate images, add special effects, and bring their creepy creations to life.
“It’s fun to see the students get into the Halloween spirit while learning new design skills in Adobe Photoshop,” Waitt said. “The students always enjoy our October projects.”
The zombie project is just the beginning of a month filled with creative and spooky assignments. Students will design a photo background for Sheridan’s Track-or-Treat event, carve digital pumpkins, and take on more Halloween-themed projects.
Through these activities, students can explore their creativity while building valuable skills in photo manipulation, graphic design, and digital editing.
With plenty of spooky projects still ahead, Mrs. Waitt’s Digital Designs Graphics students are proving that learning Adobe Photoshop can be both educational and frighteningly fun.
