Sheridan, Heights place third in two multi-team meets

The Sheridan boys golf team competed in two meets this past week.

On Tuesday, the Blackhawks took on Eastern, with the Comets scoring a close 193-194 victory. Zach Phillips led Sheridan with a score of 46. Other Hawks scores were Nathan Hinshaw 49, Parker Williams 49, Rylan Garner 50, Tyler Garner 52, Eric Retz 54, Riley Stapleton 55, Antoine Rasson 55 and Ethan Kissling 67.

Sheridan competed in a six-team meet Wednesday at Frankfort Commons Golf Course. The Blackhawks finished in third place with a team score of 191.

Hinshaw led Sheridan with a 43, while Tyler Garner and Phillips each carded 48s. Williams scored 52, Retz scored 52 and Rylan Garner scored 54.

Hamilton Heights hosted its annual quad meet Thursday at Bear Slide Golf Club.

The Huskies finished third with a score of 174. Tipton won with 165 while Yorktown was second with 170. Eastern placed fourth with 195.

Kole Kirtley was Heights’ low man with 40. Other Huskies scores were Ethan Millsaps 44, Caleb Sullivan 56, Simon Knott 45, Nathan Cox 46 and Drew Woodruff 47.
