The Sheridan girls basketball team picked up a nice win at Crawfordsville on Tuesday, by the score of 54-34.
The Blackhawks outscored the Athenians in each of the four quarters, leading 13-10 after one period and 24-17 at halftime. Sheridan then went up 39-24 after three periods.
Ashley Webel scored 17 points for the ‘Hawks, with Cecilia Timme adding 16 points. Lilly Chesney scored nine while Taylor Bates had five points and also led the rebounds with nine. Timme collected seven rebounds and Chaney Smith dished out seven assists. Jacquellynne Bates played well on defense.
Sheridan is 10-3 for the season and plays a Hoosier Heartland Conference girls-boys doubleheader at Tri-Central on Friday. The girls game begins at 6 p.m., with the boys game to follow.
