The Sheridan Elementary School (SES) Carnival, an annual event sponsored by the school’s supportive PTO, was a resounding success this year, drawing record attendance.

Blessed with beautiful weather, the event provided a perfect backdrop for families and students to come together and celebrate the end of the school year.

Principal Valerie Roberts highlighted the importance of the event.

“The Annual SES Carnival, sponsored by our outstanding PTO, is our year-end thank you for our students and families,” she said. “Students were free!”

The carnival featured a variety of food trucks offering delicious options to attendees, and special thanks go to the Lions Club for serving up hamburgers and drinks. The Sheridan Fire Department added excitement by filling the dunk tank, which became a popular attraction.

Attendees enjoyed a range of activities, including numerous games, face painting, a cake walk, and a photo booth. The event was further enhanced by the efforts of wonderful youth and parent volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly.

A highlight of the carnival was the fantastic Silent Auction, which drew significant interest and participation. All the money raised from the event will go right back to Sheridan Elementary School to support events for the 2024-2025 school year.

The SES Carnival not only provides a fun-filled day for students and their families but also strengthens the sense of community within the school. It stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the PTO and the generous support from volunteers and local organizations.
