Sheridan Elementary celebrated Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23 to 31. The week promotes drug prevention and encourages students to make healthy, positive choices.
All week long, students were taught the importance of staying drug-free, making smart decisions, and serving as role models for others. At SES, students were able to participate in a variety of activities that reinforced that message.
Students and staff showed their school spirit through dress-up days, including Superhero Day, Hat Day, Wear Red Day, Crazy Sock Day, and Team Day. Students were also able to wear Red Ribbon Week bracelets, sign a banner committing to stay drug-free, and participate in classroom activities that focused on healthy choices.
Through the activities and the week, SES emphasized this message: make healthy choices, say no to drugs, and be a positive role model. By making this commitment, the students can build positive habits that will benefit them now and in the future.
