Sheridan Community Schools has announced 19 new hires across its three schools.
Sheridan Elementary School
Sheridan Elementary welcomes several new faces for the 2025-26 school year.
- Crissy Dubbels is coming on with 11 years of experience to teach first grade.
- Ella Setmeyer, a recent graduate of Purdue, is entering into her first year of teaching as a fifth-grade teacher.
- Lela Gillmann is joining the fourth-grade team and the high school girls basketball team as an assistant coach.
- Addy Weaver is joining the kindergarten team after completing her student teaching with them last year.
- Michele Goodson is coming on with seven years of experience as the new music teacher.
- Kylie Roberts, another first-year teacher, is also joining the first-grade team.
- Johnny Marquis will be the director of the new FLIGHT before- and after-school program.
Sheridan Elementary is ready for a wonderful year of learning and growth with all of these new additions.
Sheridan Middle School
Sheridan Middle School is brining in several talented educators this year.
- Cathy Graves joins as the new Basic Skills teacher.
- Jenna Robinson will be teaching Computer Science, STEM, and seventh-grade Social Studies. She will also help to coach track and eighth-grade girls basketball.
- Tyler Ottinger is returning to Sheridan as the seventh-grade math teacher and will help with high school football.
These additions are bringing knowledge and dedication to the already amazing team at SMS.
Sheridan High School
Sheridan High School is eager to share the new educators and staff that are joining the Blackhawk Family this year.
- Blake Dotlich returns to Indiana, her home state, as one of the counselors at the high school.
- Ashleigh Zachary is joining with 12 years of experience as the new middle and high school nurse.
- Natalie McGuire joins with nine years of experience and will be teaching Prep CC and U.S. History, while also coaching the high school softball team.
- Caleb Duke, a Sheridan alumnus, will be teaching the high school business classes.
- Marcus Fredwell is returning to the high school as the new Alternative Education teacher.
- Ben Alcock joins SHS as the work-placed learning and Human Services teacher.

There are also staff that will be serving all three schools in the district.
- Melissa Ryan, the new school psychologist is coming on with 19 years of experience.
- Hannah Lugenbeal, another Sheridan alumna, will join forces with recent Purdue graduate, Jordan Potter, as the new speech-language pathologists.
The Blackhawks are ready for a great school year with this dedicated team.
