Sheridan comeback falls short

Sheridan nearly made a comeback at Bethesda Christian on Tuesday before falling to the Patriots 52-48.
The Blackhawks trailed 18-10 at halftime and 31-16 after three quarters. Sheridan blasted through the fourth period by outscoring Bethesda 32-21, but couldn’t catch all the way up.
Caleb Duke scored 17 points for the ‘Hawks, including three 3-pointers. Sean Weitzel drained four 3s on his way to 14 points. Ange Gnamkey added 12 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Sheridan is now 11-10 and finishes its regular season Friday at No. 4-ranked Frankton, the defending Class 2A state champion.
