Love letters gone wrong, mischievous disguises, and one very overconfident knight!
Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission (NCAC) is delighted to present William Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor as this year’s Shakespeare in the Park production. Performances run Sept. 17 to 20 at 7:30 p.m. each evening at Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville.
This fast-paced comedy follows the infamous Sir John Falstaff as he hatches a plan to woo not one, but two married women for money. But the “merry wives” are far too clever to fall for his tricks. What follows is a playful battle of wits filled with pranks, mistaken identities, and hilarity for all.
“The Merry Wives of Windsor is a reminder that laughter is the best medicine, and sometimes also the best revenge,” said Ka’Lena Cuevas, producer of the show, who also plays one of the scheming merry wives, Mrs. Ford. “This play is filled with tons of clever wordplay, larger-than-life characters, and plenty of laughter.”
Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. Admission is free, although donations are always welcome to help NCAC continue bringing live arts and cultural experiences to Noblesville.
Join the cast and Noblesville community under the stars for an evening of Shakespeare’s timeless humor and the rollicking comedy of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
