The summer sun beating down on Carmel’s $34 million Monon bike and jogging trail upgrades won’t bother many folks.
Thoughtful City Hall spendthrifts are installing two benches for $1.2 million and five umbrellas for $23,500.
Comfortably seated and shaded Carmelaks will enjoy fun stuff projected on a video screen and wall structure costing $584,500.
All of this thanks to the profligate politician’s $139.8 million 2016 lease rental bonds. How lease rental will be generated by benches and umbrellas is yet to be reported.
