Serve Noblesville and Temperature Service have announced a heartwarming partnership that has warmed the hearts of a local family. This collaboration showcases the power of community and the kindness that flourishes when individuals and businesses come together to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Temperature Service, a trusted HVAC company known for its commitment to excellence, recently reached out to Serve Noblesville with a generous offer: a donation and installation of a gas furnace for a family in need within Hamilton County.

“Acknowledging the shared responsibility we have for our community, the team at Temperature Service was happy to provide a furnace and its installation to a local family in need,” Owner and President of Temperature Services Michael White said. “It’s a simple gesture in the grand scheme of things, but it’s our way of contributing to the warmth and well-being of our neighbors. We are in this together, and it’s essential that we look out for one another.”

Recognizing the significant impact this act of kindness could have, Serve Noblesville eagerly accepted the offer. Serve Noblesville is an asset-based organization dedicated to serving the local community by identifying opportunities and mobilizing resources to match them.

To identify a deserving family, Serve Noblesville collaborated with the Hamilton County Youth Assistance Program, a non-profit organization that has been supporting families and children in Hamilton County since 2009.

Working together, these three parties – Temperature Service, Serve Noblesville, and Sheridan Youth Assistance Program (SYAP) – coordinated the installation of the donated gas furnace. This collaboration not only ensured a warm and comfortable winter for the identified family but also exemplified the strength of unity within the community.

“I was excited to find this rare opportunity for this Sheridan family,” SYAP Program Advocate Lisa Samuels said. “Carrie is so willing to give her time weekly to volunteer with the SYAP clothing and furniture pantry. I know they look forward to a comfortable winter season thanks to Serve Noblesville and Temperature Service for making it happen.”

However, Serve Noblesville’s commitment did not end there. Recognizing the importance of a complete HVAC system for the family’s well-being, Serve Noblesville rallied community support and sponsorships to secure a brand-new air conditioner for the family.

Additionally, another opportunity was revealed where Serve Noblesville was able to assist a second family in Westfield that needed some siding installed and additional home repair completed. Serve Noblesville reached out to a dedicated team of volunteers who gladly took on the home repair projects. The generosity and dedication displayed by Serve Noblesville and its partners have truly made a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve.

“I was coming home from work the other day and saw the entire team working on my house,” said Jenny, a mother and homeowner in Westfield. “At that moment, I was just so overwhelmed with gratitude and simply had no words. I felt so much love for my daughter and me in that moment. I truly don’t have the right words or actions to express my gratitude because I’m so very thankful for all they have done. I’ve been a single mom now for six years and have felt so defeated with the situation with my home that I was even at the point of trying to seek something cheaper for us as I couldn’t make these repairs on my own. It was all overwhelming. Thank you so much to Serve Noblesville and Westfield Youth Assistance, my daughter and I finally have a home that’s functional and beautiful too!”

You can make a difference, too!

Six Points Church among others in the county also stepped in, offering their financial support to help make the air conditioning installation happen. Serve Noblesville, Temperature Service, and Sheridan and Westfield Youth Assistance Programs express their gratitude to the local community for their continuous support and remind everyone that together, we can create a warmer, more comfortable, and compassionate community for all.

The initial estimated costs for replacement and correcting previously overlooked work is $10,000. Serve Noblesville invites the community to join this noble cause and make a positive impact on the lives of local families. Your contribution, no matter the size, can help make a difference.
