Westfield traveled back to Hendricks County on Saturday and came home with a 66-59 win over Tri-West.
The Shamrocks, ranked No. 4 in the IBCA poll and No. 6 in the Associated Press Class 4A ratings, led 17-15 after the first quarter, then jumped ahead 36-23 by halftime. Cam Haffner scored 11 first-half points, with Alex Romack adding eight.
The Bruins made a comeback in the third quarter, cutting Westfield’s lead to 51-45 by the end of the period. The ‘Rocks were able to hold on in the fourth quarter; Romack helped out with six points in that quarter, and 14 for the second half.
Romack was the leading scorer with 24 points, followed by Haffner with 17.
Westfield is 11-4 and plays a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game Tuesday at Noblesville.
