Robert “Bob” Lee Mossburg

December 1, 1935 – May 2, 2021

Robert “Bob” Lee Mossburg, 85, a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, passed away on May 2, 2021. Bob was born in Sheridan on December 1, 1935 to James and Ruth (Bohr) Mossburg and was the step-son of Albert Forbush.

Bob attended Sheridan High School and was a member of the Sheridan Church of God. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1958, earning the Rank of Specialist and the Good Conduct Medal. Bob was employed at Biddle’s Screw Products (BIMCO), retiring after 40 years.

Bob married Avalene Pearl Mace on June 16, 1962. They were married nearly 54 years until her passing on February 21, 2016. He was a well-known, respected and beloved citizen of Sheridan for nearly 75 years, moving to Noblesville in 2008. He led by example, always with a loving and kind heart. Bob was a “Server”: He served his country, community, his family, friends and neighbors. Most of all, he faithfully served his Lord Jesus.

Bob is survived by his children, Calvin, David and Gary Condry, Bob and Don Mossburg, Janice Bell, Denise Morgan and Cathy Fuehring; brothers, James Mossburg and William Forbush; sisters, Marsha Brown and Sharon Renner; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his wife and three parents; daughter, Robin Baker; grandson, Marshall Condry; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Rush; and brothers, Richard Mossburg and Kenneth Forbush.

Funeral services for Bob will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at North Fields Church, 1478 State Road 38, Sheridan. Visitation with friends and family will be held from noon until the time of service. Gravesite services and burial will be at Crown View Cemetery, Sheridan, following the service.
