Last Friday at a kickoff event, Raju Chinthala’s congressional campaign saw an overwhelming response with more than 300 enthusiastic supporters filling the room to capacity. The diverse program, marked by prominent speakers and a compelling speech by Chinthala, set an inspiring tone for his bid for the U.S. Congress.

The event commenced with Suzie Jaworowski, an energy policy expert and former Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy in the Trump administration, leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

Following this, Jerry Zehr, the Carmel Christian Church Pastor and 2023 Interfaith Ambassador of the Year Award winner, delivered a heartfelt prayer.

Bharat Patel, the Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Sun Development and Management Company, took the stage to address the guests. Patel, who oversees 32 hotels, including the Embassy Suites Hotel in Noblesville, urged supporters to contribute to Chinthala’s campaign.

The endorsement from Gregory A. Ballard, the 48th Mayor of Indianapolis and a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Marine Corps, added significant weight to Chinthala’s candidacy. Ballard highlighted Chinthala’s achievements in building cultural and economic ties between Indiana and India, resulting in the creation of thousands of jobs in the Hoosier State.

Former State Senator Jim Meritt introduced Chinthala to the crowd, emphasizing his qualifications as a successful businessman and community leader. Chinthala, a two-time recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award and the 2022 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, shared his journey and the impact of his grandmother’s wisdom on his family’s success.

In his speech, Chinthala expressed his commitment to the Republican Party and outlined his extensive public service, including roles as a Precinct Committeeman and Treasurer of the Hamilton County Republican Party. He reiterated his principles of upholding the U.S. Constitution, serving the people, and advocating for smaller, more efficient government.

Chinthala outlined key policy priorities, emphasizing a strong military, robust economic development, and a focus on solving the illegal immigration issue. He energized the crowd with a rallying cry to “Defend Constitutional rights, Protect the American Dream, Support Small Businesses, Advocate for Veterans, and Safeguard the Next Generation.”

The campaign’s slogan, “I AM RAJU, and I am FOR YOU,” resonated strongly with the audience. Chinthala urged a collective effort to stop stealing from future generations, emphasizing the responsibility of the present to safeguard the needs and interests of both present and future citizens.

As Chinthala embarks on his congressional journey, the kickoff event’s success signals a promising start to his campaign, fueled by a diverse and dedicated group of supporters.
