Plans change for 116th & Allisonville intersection

While Fishers originally planned 116th Street and Allisonville Road intersection to become a roundabout, it will now be redesigned with extended left-turn lanes, sidewalk improvements, and signal upgrades.

Construction is expected to begin the week of April 13 and continue through late October, weather and material availability permitting.

Initial work will include construction signage and signal-related activity, followed by intersection improvements, curb and ramp work, sidewalk work, and paving later in the season.

What to expect

  • The intersection will remain open during construction.
  • Drivers should expect lane shifts, restrictions, and slower travel, especially during peak travel times.
  • Business access will remain open.
  • Roadway projects are weather-dependent and schedules may change.
