On Sept. 20, retired Cicero Fire Chief Lance Overholser was presented with the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash Award during Cicero Friends of the Park’s annual Spaghetti Dinner for police, fire, and EMS workers. Throughout his career, he dedicated countless hours to training, teaching, mentoring, and developing firefighters and EMS professionals across the nation. He served as Cicero’s Fire Chief from 2016 until his retirement at the end of 2025. Congratulations, sir!
