The Northern Hamilton County GOP Club held its monthly meeting on Monday evening, Aug. 24, at the Noblesville FOP Lodge, 7201 E. 196th St. The meeting brought quite a crowd, as well as numerous candidates who gave updates on the water flow into the Martin Marietta quarry in Carmel. Reportedly, water is still flowing into the quarry at a rate of 14 million gallons per minute. It would take approximately two years to pump out the quarry, which now holds about 9 billion gallons of water, more than Geist Reservoir.
