Noblesville Youth Wrestling dual team places fifth at Elementary Dual State

The Noblesville Youth Wrestling dual team competed in the Indiana State Wrestling Association’s Elementary Dual State championships on Sunday, finishing fifth in the large school division.
The Noblesville team was 5-1 for the event and earned All State honors. Noblesville won its duals against Whiteland 38-31, Floyd Central 48-36, Hobart 49-22, Center Grove 48-24 and Avon 51-15.
Noblesville coach Michael Weimer said the fifth-place finish was the highest placement in the program’s history.
“The kids have been practicing since November preparing for this tournament and I was so proud of how they competed on the mat, and how they were cheering for each other during the tournament,” said Weimer.
