Dear Editor:

As a person who has supported past Noblesville spending referendums, I now am no longer convinced that our current school board has the ability to balance education and referendum spending responsibly. And this is why …

Our Noblesville School system now has less students than we did in 2018. Since the $50 million referendum request in 2018, they actually received $160 million, and they have spent every last dime. They could have saved $55 million of that $110 million windfall and we would not be in the financial peril that their unsustainable spending has caused.

In reference to my 2026 personal Taxpayer and Property information statement provided to each property owner, we will pay 27.3 percent to Noblesville School District and 21.3 percent to Noblesville School Debt, which equals 48.6 percent. Please check your own. We have no control over this amount, but the referendum is a local matter, so please vote No for this referendum and Yes to Denise Dye.

It is not selfish to believe that you know how to better spend your money, and our current board members have proved, over at least the last five years, they do not.

That is why I recommend we elect Denise Dye. If elected, she promises to get to the bottom of where all that windfall of $110 million was spent. It is time to elect a fiscal conservative who will be transparent and focus on education excellence for all Noblesville students while honoring the taxpayers of Noblesville.

Please vote only for Denise Dye and we can start to rebuild our school board on Nov. 3, 2026
