Noblesville Schools opts to make next school board meeting virtual

Submitted by Noblesville Schools

To address COVID health and safety concerns, the Sept. 21 meeting of the Noblesville Schools board of trustees will be held virtually and can be live streamed here. This virtual format is the same one that Noblesville Schools instituted for board meetings earlier in the pandemic.

Noblesville Schools currently has a high number of COVID cases and Hamilton County is at an orange COVID threat level, with Noblesville having the highest number of cases in the county. Additionally, recent school board meetings have been over capacity with many attendees refusing to wear masks.

While public comment at board meetings is not legally required, the school board recognizes the value of public input on matters involving the school corporation. For September’s virtual meeting, public input may be submitted here.

Noblesville Schools will evaluate the format (virtual or in-person) of future board meetings on a regular basis and some public hearings/meetings may be held in person. Be sure to check the school district’s website for meeting status.

Beginning with the Sept. 15 session, Table Talk attendees must schedule their participation in advance. For more information on Table Talk and to register, click here.
