The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.
- The board recognized NHS student Mobareji Abejide for winning a congressional app challenge and NHS educator Eric Thornbury for being named Indiana High School Music Educator of the Year.
- Noblesville High School presented on special school traditions.
- CFO David Hortemiller gave a strategic capital finance update as part of a series of presentations on the district’s strategic plan. Projections show a budgeted deficit of $7 million expected for the district in 2026.
- The board unanimously declined a resolution that would have raised their board salary stipends and instead chose to keep the same annual $2,000 stipend they have had since 1984.
- The board held their annual reorganization, renewed their shared commitments, reappointed CCHA as their law firm, and had a board of finance hearing.
- Courses and dates for summer school were approved.
