Noblesville Schools appoints new leaders at NHS, West Middle School

Noblesville Schools announced Tuesday that it has appointed several new administrative leaders, including new principals for Noblesville High School (NHS) and Noblesville West Middle School (NWMS).

  • Craig McCaffrey, interim principal, NHS
  • Janae Mobley, assistant principal, NHS
  • Ryan Haughey, principal, NWMS
  • Ginger Jimenez, assistant principal, White River Elementary
  • Erin Rood, Noblesville Schools assistant director of special education

McCaffrey, who holds a PhD in education from Ball State University, has served as an assistant principal at NHS since 2012 with responsibility for graduation, testing, school safety, music, athletics and more. He also brings seven years of experience as a head principal at both Franklin Community High School and Taylor Middle School.

Mobley, currently a dean at NHS, will step into the assistant principal role vacated by McCaffrey. She has previous experience as an assistant principal at Yorktown High School and a master’s degree in education administration from Butler University. Candidates are currently being considered for the NHS dean position.

Haughey (pronounced Hoy) brings five years of experiences as principal at Westfield Middle School to his new role, as well as previous positions there as assistant principal and dean. He holds a master’s degree and principal licensure from Indiana Wesleyan University and an educational specialist certification from Indiana State University.

Jimenez moves to the White River assistant principal role from her current position overseeing Little Millers Preschool and Millers Explorers before/afterschool care for the district. She previously served as a learning specialist and teacher at North Elementary. Candidates are currently being considered to fill Jimenez’s position.

Rood will serve as assistant director of special education following six years as district director and coordinator of special education for Sheridan Schools. She previously served as a resource teacher with Noblesville Schools for seven years, and holds a master’s degree and licensure in special education administration from Ball State University.

“I’m excited to announce these appointments of our current staff members and welcome new leaders to our Noblesville Schools team,” said Noblesville Schools Superintendent Dr. Beth Niedermeyer. “They are a highly qualified group of individuals and I’m confident they will hit the ground running, providing students, staff and families the high level of vision, support, service and guidance we expect in our leaders.”

The appointments will fill recent vacancies and will not generate additional staffing.
