Noblesville reader excited to vote for Devon Wellington for State Representative

Dear Editor:

As a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, I am extremely excited to have many choices when voting in this year’s Primary as a Democrat!

After retiring from teaching and selling our business, my first step was to join the Hamilton County and Noblesville Democratic organizations. I was pleasantly surprised to see many young people in attendance.

As Democratic citizens decided to run for different state and local offices, I listened and talked to them. I was so inspired by Devon Wellington that I decided to volunteer to help her be elected District 29 State House Representative.

Devon (mom, small business owner, and public education advocate) impressed me with her expertise with policy. Her experience at the National, State, and local level as a policy advocate is extensive. Ms. Wellington knows when bad legislation hurts communities. She is a great listener and notes the needs of citizens.

What struck me most is that Devon has solutions! Her solutions are concrete, credible, and best of all, are workable! When voters have a candidate like Devon Wellington that listens, is thoughtful, backs up her solutions with credible research, and best of all, is courageous enough to do the work that takes barriers and constructs policy that eliminates those barriers in public education, affordable health care, and affordable housing for the citizens of Indiana – that is a candidate that belongs in our state legislature.

Devon Wellington is my choice for District 29 State House Representative! Your vote for her will be the first step to improve our life as Hoosiers.
