Noblesville PEO awards $2,500 scholarship

Harper Albers, a 2026 graduate of Cathedral High School, was recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship from Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Chapter EH in Noblesville. The PEO Sisterhood is a national organization that raises money for scholarships for women.

Albers was active in several school and extracurricular activities that showcased her wide variety of interests and illustrated her passion to help others and her communication and leadership skills. Some of these interests include music, sports, faith-based clubs, medicine, and social services. She was involved in student government and a member of National Honor Society.

Albers volunteers at Wheeler Mission, sorting clothes for quality to support a women’s shelter. She also organized a food and clothing drive to support Afgan refugees housed a nearby facility.

Albers was Vice President of her senior class and was in charge of planning various school events. She was Vocal Captain of Show Choir. Other leadership roles include Co-Vice President of DECA, Organizer of Medical Club, Past Captain of JV soccer team, and Co-Manager of Lifeguard Team.

She will be attending Indiana University in the fall and has been accepted into the nursing program.
