Noblesville Parks & Rec announces 2017 Summer Concert Series

The Noblesville Parks and Recreation Department will kick off its nine-week Summer Concert Series on June 1 with Not Your Average Boy Band. The 2017 line-up includes:

  • Dillon Park (6001 Edenshall Lane): June 1 – Not Your Average Boy Band; June 8 – The Flying Toasters; June 15 – The Bishops; June 22 – Stella Luna; June 29 – Living Proof; and July 6 – Dave & Rae.
  • Forest Park (701 Cicero Road): July 13 – CornField Mafia; July 20 – Lemon Wheel; and July 27 – Paul Butler as Elvis.

“I think this is the best lineup we’ve ever had,” said Noblesville Parks Director Brandon Bennett. “The Noblesville Summer Concert Series is the longest running series of its kind in Hamilton County and one of our most popular parks events. This free series allows friends and families alike to enjoy live music accompanied by fun, food and festivities right in their own backyard.”

The concert series is free to the public and guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy while in attendance. All shows begin at 7 p.m. Each year, these concerts bring in approximately 13,000 people from Noblesville and its surrounding communities.

“The Noblesville Summer Concert Series provides live entertainment by popular artists performed on an outdoor stage in the beauty of Noblesville’s parks,” said Assistant Parks Director Mike Hoffmeister. “The parks department takes great pride in the series and we thank all those that contribute to make it an annual success.”

The annual Summer Concert Series is funded 100 percent from donations. To date, the city would like to thank the following sponsors: Platinum sponsors – Recreation Unlimited and Kim Carpenter and the We Sell Indy Team at Keller Williams; Logan Street Signs and Banners; Contributing sponsors – Kroger, Context Design, Ivy Tech Community College, Hamilton County Tourism and Meyer Najem; and Friend of the Concert sponsors – Gaylor Electric, Farmers Bank, Church, Aspen Creek Grill, Church, Hittle and Antrim and Noblesville Councilor Greg O’Connor.

Those interested in donating smaller amounts to assist in paying for the series also are encouraged to do so.
