Editor’s note: The student team from Trine University’s Ketner School of Business recently competed at the National Collegiate Sports Sales Championship, which took place this week at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga.

Notably, Noblesville’s Isaac Wilson is one of the four members the team, which placed fifth overall at the national competition. The following information is from Alexander Atwood, a professor in the Ketner School of Business who served as team coach.

  • Isaac Wilson: second place overall in Corporate Partnerships
  • Josh Hartman: sixth place overall in Ticket Sales
  • Mason Slazyk: top 16 finish in Ticket Sales
  • Beckam Pichardo: top 32 finish in Corporate Partnerships

To say I’m proud of these men would be an understatement. The amount of hard work, time, and energy they put into their role plays and presentations paid off in the end, and many different employers took notice. These guys were incredibly motivated to succeed, and the results speak for themselves.

I couldn’t be happier with how these guys performed and represented Trine University this year. Thank you to Catherine Benson and KSB for the opportunity to have our students compete in this tournament. Thank you to Lane Wakefield, Heather Grover, and Baylor S3E for putting on another amazing competition this year. And a huge thanks to the Atlanta Hawks for hosting at State Farm Arena.

I’m eager to get things rolling for next year’s group of Trine students, but for now, we’re bringing some hardware home! Go Thunder!
