Noblesville Lions Club needs sponsors for Dodgeball Tournament

If you have community help and support in your budget, the members of the Noblesville Lions Club would appreciate your support for their upcoming fundraiser tournament. This will be the third year for the Dodgeball Tournament, and this year cornhole has been added.

The tournament will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Ivy Tech Gym in Noblesville. Competition will start around noon after waivers are signed, tournament brackets are completed, and the rules meeting is over. The event promises to be an active, rambunctious, and lively competition.

This year’s fundraiser themes are the Lions Club Scholarships and Vision Impairment Financial Support. The tournament in 2019 raised $7,000. The amount of the Club’s scholarships in 2019 was $5,250, which was used for scholarships at Noblesville High School, Hamilton Heights High School and Ivy Tech.

Secondly, support from the tournament for vision in 2019 was $1,750, which includes Kid Sight Screening for children ages 2-6. The number of children screened in 2019 was 1,575. Lions Club also purchases eye glasses for needy children, makes leader dog financial contributions, participates in eye glass recycling, and contributes financial support to The School for the Blind.

Sponsorship support levels are $200, $400 and $600, and one super supporter at $2,100 and another at $3,000. At each level as a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to enter a team in the competition: One team at the $200 dollar level, two teams at the $400 dollar level and three teams at the $600 dollar level. The $3,000 dollar supporter will have the option of five entries.

What do you receive as a sponsor?

  • Additional signage for your business or home.
  • You may make team entries into tournament competition.
  • Newspaper articles and a final roundup for the tournament listing, sponsors and amount raised.
  • Listings on the Lions Facebook page.
  • 100 percent of the monies raised above expenses goes to charities.
