Millers maintain 5-0 record in HCC with Wednesday’s victory over Fishers
The Noblesville girls soccer team, now ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, kept its unbeaten season intact on Wednesday with a 2-0 Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory at 3A No. 13 Fishers.
The Millers scored one goal in each half. Sydney Elliott put in Noblesville’s first goal during the ninth minute. Then in the 68th minute, Marit McLaughlin scored, assisted by Nadia Zaborowski.
With the win, the Millers are 3-0 in HCC play and 5-0 overall. The Tigers are 2-1-1 in the conference and 4-3-1 overall. Noblesville travels to North Central on Friday to begin play in the Paul Loggan Invitational, while Fishers hosts Hamilton Southeastern next Wednesday in the Mudsock game.

Another all-county game between two ranked teams took place Wednesday at Hamilton Heights.
The 2A No. 20 Huskies hosted 1A No. 12 University, with Heights winning 5-1. The Huskies scored all five of their goals in the first half, with five different players getting one goal each: Savannah Deetz, Sara Toll Emma Linville, Ella Hickok and Lizzy Smith. Cassidy
Felger assisted Deetz, Linville and Smith with their goals.
“The first half was how we would want to play,” said Heights coach Travis Kauffman. “I thought we were aggressive. Our passing, our touches were attacking. I thought we did a good job of getting our heads up and looking to find our teammates off the ball runs like that.”
The Huskies are 5-1-1 and host Lawrence North on Saturday morning. University is 3-2 and welcomes 1A No. 4 Heritage Christian tonight for a 7 p.m. game.

Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 2 in 3A, cruised to an HCC win at Avon Wednesday, by the score of 3-0.
The Royals scored all of their goals in the first half. Cole Lance put in the first goal, while Caroline Kelley added the second goal. Both were off assists by Tatum Coleman. Norah Wans scored Southeastern’s third goal, with Chloe Count providing the assist.
Royals coach Greg Davidson said that in the second half, “the team tried a few things to ready them for situations down the road and handled themselves well other than not scoring more goals.” Captain and center back Taylor Cook was named HSE’s Player of the Game due to her organization and defense.
Southeastern is 3-1 in the conference and 7-1 overall. The Royals host 1A No. 6 Evansville Mater Dei on Friday night.

Sheridan cruised past Herron 9-0 in a Wednesday home game.
The Blackhawks were in control for the entire game, leading 3-0 at halftime before pouring in six more goals in the second half. Mac Smith and Chaney Smith both scored two goals, with Lilly Chesney, Suri Birmingham, Cecilia Timme and Ji Warren all scoring one goal. Warren and Birmingham got the first varsity goals of their careers.
Six Sheridan players had one assist: Emily Weddington, Chesney, Kadence Voege, Makayley Terry, Claire Purciful and Norah Stites, the first of her high school career.
The Blackhawks are 3-1 and play this afternoon at Western Boone.

Westfield. Ranked No. 17 in 3A, dropped a 3-1 HCC game at 3A No. 8 Zionsville Wednesday.
The Shamrocks are 1-2 in the conference and 4-2-1 overall. Their next game is Tuesday at Bishop Chatard.

The University boys team, ranked No. 3 in 1A, dropped a tough 1-0 game at 1A No. 1 Park Tudor on Wednesday.
The Trailblazers are 4-2-1 and host Bishop Chatard on Tuesday.
