The Noblesville Chamber of Commerce has announced its support for the upcoming Noblesville Schools referendum, encouraging residents to vote in favor of continuing the funding that supports the district’s existing educational programs, student services, safety initiatives, and educator recruitment and retention efforts.
The endorsement is based on the Chamber’s long-standing belief that strong schools are essential to a thriving local economy and a vibrant community.
“As the voice of the business community, the Chamber recognizes that exceptional schools are one of the most important assets a city can offer,” Noblesville Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob DuBois said. “High-performing schools attract families, support property values, strengthen workforce development, and contribute significantly to the quality of life that makes Noblesville a desirable place to live, work, and invest.”
The Chamber emphasized that the referendum is not intended to fund new programs or expand district services. Rather, it is focused on maintaining the funding that currently supports academic achievement, student safety, mental health resources, and the talented educators who serve Noblesville students every day.
For local employers, the connection between educational excellence and economic prosperity is clear. Businesses seeking to locate or expand in a community consistently consider the quality of local schools as a key factor. Strong schools help develop the next generation workforce while also attracting and retaining the skilled employees companies need today.
“For more than a decade, Noblesville Schools have been a competitive advantage for our community,” the Chamber stated. “When businesses evaluate locations for investment and growth, they look for communities that demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence. The continued strength of our schools benefits not only students and families, but the entire local economy.”
The Chamber acknowledges that residents and businesses must carefully evaluate any tax-related decision. However, Chamber leadership believes the long-term success of Noblesville remains closely tied to maintaining the high-quality educational opportunities that have helped shape the community’s reputation and attractiveness to employers, residents, and investors alike.
The Chamber joins numerous community leaders and stakeholders who have publicly expressed support for the referendum, including Mayor Chris Jensen, Mike Thibideau of Invest Hamilton County, City Councilor Aaron Smith, Senator Scott Baldwin, and State Representative Alaina Shonkwiler.
Residents seeking additional information can learn more about the referendum and estimate their potential tax impact by visiting the Noblesville Schools referendum website. The Chamber also encourages voters to listen to its NobleWorks Podcast interview featuring Superintendent Dr. Dan Hile for further insight into the referendum and its community impact.
