No one injured in house fire in Jackson Township

At approximately 11 p.m. Monday, the Jackson Township Fire Department responded to a residence fire at 24002 Twilight Hills Drive, Cicero, near U.S. 31 and 241st Street.

Responding units encountered flames and heavy smoke coming from the front of the home. Crews from Jackson Township Fire, Cicero Fire and Noblesville Fire were able to enter the structure and make a quick attack on the interior of the residence.

Jackson Township was also assisted by crews from Westfield Fire, Sheridan Fire and Tipton Fire, Cicero Township/Tipton Fire, White River Township Fire and Wayne Township Fire.

The homeowner was alerted to the fire by his smoke detector and was able to escape the burning house. The homeowner did suffer some smoke inhalation but refused transport to the hospital. The fire is still under investigation.
