No injuries in Westfield school bus accident

At approximately 8:15 a.m. Friday, Westfield Washington Schools bus No. 44 and a truck towing a backhoe collided at the intersection of 193rd Street and Mule Barn Road.

Westfield Fire Department assessed all people at the scene and determined that there were no injuries to the 21 students and the two drivers involved. Out of an abundance of caution, three students and the bus driver were taken to hospital for assessment but were released without injury.

A separate bus transported the students to school from the scene of the collision. Families of the students were notified of the incident.
