On Monday, Noblesville welcomed the 2A No. 4 Oak Hill Golden Eagles for Noblesville Youth Baseball night.
The Millers scored early and often, making it a quick five-inning, 14-1 rout of Oak Hill.
Oak Hill scored first for a 1-0 lead, but that didn’t last long.
Luke Stevenson reached on an error and Slade Hodges was hit by a pitch. Stevenson scored for 1-0 on Brooks Riggs’ fielder’s choice to short. Jackson Graf singled, then he and Riggs scored on Jalen Stidham’s double to right to go up 3-1.
Three quick outs by Rhett Hostetler got the Millers back up in the second.
Aiden Reynolds hit an RBI single for 4-1. Next, Brooks Riggs lofted a three-run home run to left, pushing it to 7-1.
Hodges tripled in Ryan Ruse and Stevenson in, along with Blake Riggs driving in Hodges and it was 10-1 through three.
Four more scored in the fourth when Ryan Quimby lined to left. Brady Plunkett hit a two-run single to center for 13-1 and Christian Penaloza finished, singling in Stevenson for 14-1.
Noblesville (13-7, 7-1 HCC) hosts Hamiton Southeastern (13-7, 5-3 HCC) in a crucial league game Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Dunker Field.
