Noblesville and Westfield got together on Thursday for the first of a two-game series. Noblesville had won the previous four, sweeping the 2024 and 2025 meetings.

The Millers scored their runs later in the game to take the series opener at Shamrock Field, 10-3.

The Rocks scored first in the bottom of the fourth. Evan Govert drove in Gabe Garcia and Aiden Grabowski for a 2-0 lead.

Noblesville responded in the fifth. Chris Martz walked, followed by an Ethan Clark hit for two on. Zac Glander doubled to center, scoring both runners to tie it 2-2. Slade Hodges also doubled, scoring Glander for a 3-2 lead they didn’t give back.

Five more touched home in the sixth. Garrett Dixon and Clark hit. Martz scored on Aiden Reynolds’ double. Oddly enough, the scoring spree was highlighted by three of four getting hit by a pitch, resulting in three runs.

Two insurance runs scored in the top of the seventh for a 10-2 advantage.

The Shamrocks scored once on a sacrifice fly from Grabowski, but Noblesville held on by seven.

The Hoosier Crossroads Conference series’ second game moves to Victory Field tonight at around 8 p.m. in the Victory Field Classic.
