Two deserving nonprofits in Hamilton County each recently received $10,000 donations from Meijer’s employee-driven community giving program, Meijer Team Gives.

Employees of the Carmel Meijer store selected Children’s TherAplay, which provides individualized skill development for children with disabilities through physical, occupational, and speech therapies using a horse as a treatment tool in a safe and caring environment, while Noblesville’s Meijer employees united to give back to Same As U, a local organization that provides full-day programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes lifelong learning in a college-like atmosphere.

Since its inception in 2021, the Meijer Team Gives program has awarded more than $2.1 million to various nonprofits in the Indiana region, all handpicked by Meijer team members. In 2025 alone, Meijer team members collectively gave to 55 Indiana and Kentucky organizations, resulting in $345,000 in donations. The program, conducted twice annually in the fall and spring, offers employees the chance to support causes that mean the most to them and their local communities.

This is the first time both nonprofits have received a donation through Meijer Team Gives.
