Mary Edna King

January 5, 1933 – May 31, 2020

Mary Edna King, 87, Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born on January 5, 1933 to Oscar and Gladys (Penwell) Garrity in Noblesville.

For over 33 years, Mary worked in line assembly for Western Electric, and then loved the job she held at Walmart for over 20 years. She was a workaholic who never met a day she couldn’t work. Mary made the best meatloaf and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

She is survived by her daughters, Roberta (Bob) Heinzmann, Patricia Diann Gott and Jeanna (Ray) Hancock; son, George Rollin (Marcia) King Jr.; grandchildren, Corey, Troy, Lisa, Kelli, Staci, Tony, Taylor, Jasmine and Makayla; eight great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and her Thursday Morning Breakfast Club.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Rollin King, Sr.; siblings, Patty Garrity, Jimmy Garrity and Gary Garrity; and her grandson, Travis Hancock.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, with Pastor Andrew Marshall officiating.
