November 4, 1941 – October 18, 2026
Martha Rea Struble, 84, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Life’s Journey of Avon. She was born on November 4, 1941, in Highmore, S.D.
For many years, Rea worked at Boehringer Mannhiem Biochemicals as administrative Assistant to the President of Research Division and liaison with corporate Human Resources. She took a lot of pride in the women in which she was a part of the hiring process. Later she was an executive secretary for Hurco Manufacturing before retiring. For fun, she and her husband James owned and operated a variety of businesses including the Bits and Pieces antique store in Lebanon, a restaurant in Tipton, and a food truck. For the past six years, Rea lived at Sycamore Reserve in the Castleton area where she made many friends, having a hug for everyone she met. She also had a love for small animals, whether the squirrels, chipmunks, or birds outside, or her little canine friends in the building. It was always important that she had a treat for each of them.
She is survived by sister, Iris Nicholas; her children, Jeff (Sherri) Baseley, Joni Struble, Dave (Debbie) Baseley, and Mark (Julie) Struble; and grandchildren, A.J., Kelli, Michael, Nicole, Matthew, Jonathan, David, Esther, Joshua, and Marybeth.
She was preceded in death by her birth father, Leon Perkins; mother and father, Leatha and Calvin Trowbridge; husband, James M. Struble; and siblings, Ivan Trowbridge and Inez Trowbridge.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
