March’s Carmel Gallery Walk is today

Wine and dine at one of the District restaurants, browse the new and exciting exhibits at 10 District galleries and explore all the unique things the District has to offer during the IU Health North Hospital Second Saturday Gallery Walk today from 5 to 9 p.m.

If you participated in the Gallery Walk Scavenger in January and February, make sure to visit us in March for your chance to win one of five prizes valued at approximately $150 each! Please bring your punch card to be eligible to win.

Additional featured artists and exhibits during the March Gallery Walk include:

  • CCA Gallery’s feature gallery for the month of March will be displaying oil paintings by Margaret Hanke and Ann Simons. Everyone is invited to their reception to view these beautiful works and to meet the artists during the Gallery Walk.
    Throughout March, Inspire Studio & Gallery is exhibiting the works of contemporary artist “Scotty Lu” – the alter ego of renowned artist Randall Scott Harden. The Opening Reception for the exhibit will be during the Gallery Walk. Wine & light refreshments will be served in “Starving Artist” style.
  • The 2nd You and Tranquil Souls (411 N. Range Line Rd.) will be hosting a tasting event from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. along with the launch of Wunder Juice. Live music will also be on hand. You can also sample their products such as Wicked Good Nibs, Cilantro Sauce and Chipotle Black Bean and Cheese Dip at REMAX Ability Plus-Team Pacilio, located at 200 S. Range Line Road.
  • Carmel Arts Council Children’s Art Gallery features Forest Dale Elementary, Carmel, Clay and Creekside Middle Schools and Carmel High School. Our Community Art exhibit features the Spring Art contest winners.
  • REMAX Ability Plus-Team Pacilio (15 E. Main St., Suite 200) will feature a meet and greet with Indiana artist and illustrator Kristen Myers, who will be showcasing her original oils. Ms. Myers will have special pricing during the Gallery Walk. You can also enter to win a gift basket valued at over $100!

Additional activities taking place during the March Gallery Walk include:

  • Free caricatures and face painting by Custom Eyes Design (by All Things Carmel, 110 W Main St. #104)
  • Entertainment by Jon Haslam, Dianna Davis and Emma Hedrick & the Main Street Jazz Band will take place throughout the District.
  • Be a part of the Scavenger Hunt that will lead you to find select pieces of art or items of interest in each of the participating galleries and businesses. Begin the hunt inside California Closets (1 S. Range Line Rd.). Your completed Scavenger Hunt clue sheet will enter you for a chance to win one of several great prizes during the Gallery Walk, including:
    • Mosaics & Wine Class by Nancy Keating ($62 value)
    • 2 Matted Original Watercolors and a pastel painting print from ArtSplash, sponsored by CarDon & Associates ($100 value)
    • Gift Basket donated by The Olive Mill ($50 value)
    • Muldoon’s Gift Card and T-Shirt Basket ($50 value)

Follow the clues through the District and then turn in your completed clue sheet to receive a Gallery Walk Punch Card, new to 2017. Those who complete all three Scavenger Hunts in a quarter will be eligible for one of five prizes valued at about $150. In addition, at the end of the year, large prizes will be awarded to those who participated in all 12 months.
