Following former Colts punter Hunter Smith’s announcement that he has entered the race to represent Indiana House District 24, which includes portions of Boone and Hamilton counties, Josh Lowry released the following statement.

Lowry

“Anyone who steps up to try and serve their community and be a voice for the greater good is doing something commendable,” Lowry said. “However, after years of operating with a supermajority,  Indiana’s Republican Party has stopped working for the greater good of Hoosiers. I am running and promise to give voice to what Hoosiers want. I’ve talked to thousands of district residents, and it is abundantly clear that Hoosiers need someone to fight for them to improve outcomes for their kids and community.

“While I do not personally know the opponent, I know I will fight for the House District. I know I am the best choice for House District 24. My experience defending clients as a lawyer, foster dad, and committed community member has prepared me to advocate in this role.

“It’s time that we show the people of Indiana that someone is listening to them. I am running to give Hoosiers a voice in local government. Let’s ensure families control their household decisions. Let’s ensure Hoosiers have a great lifestyle for themselves and their families’ future. I know that when we work together, that is when we can bring Hoosier Hospitality back to the district.

“Use your voice. Make it count.”
