Due to the heavy rains and flooding, the Logan Street Bridge over White River will not be completed this year as originally planned. The bridge is currently under lane restrictions, but provides an open lane of travel in each direction.
Construction will continue through December, when it will temporarily halt until the spring when temperatures rise high enough to safely finish out the bridge work. The new expected completion date for this project is May 2020.
When construction is demobilized for the winter months, the northbound lane of State Road 19, which has been closed since construction began, will re-open to motorists and will remain open the remainder of construction.
