Local senior care employees honored with prestigious Quest for Excellence Award

Each year, American Senior Communities honors one outstanding team member from each of its 101 Indiana communities with the prestigious Quest for Excellence Award.

Now celebrating its 25th year, the tradition continued as honorees, their guests, and ASC leaders came together this month at the Marriott in downtown Indianapolis for an evening of celebration, recognition, and gratitude.

Recognizing and uplifting employees has always been at the heart of ASC’s mission: to support professional growth, encourage exceptional performance, and celebrate those who consistently exceed expectations.

With nearly 11,000 team members statewide, the Quest for Excellence Award is ASC’s highest individual honor for a chosen few each year.

Nominated by coworkers, residents, and residents’ families, each award recipient was recognized for the commitment to embody the ASC CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence. These honorees bring kindness to life, demonstrate unwavering responsibility, nurture meaningful connections, and continually strive to deliver extraordinary care and service.

“Our Quest for Excellence recipients represent the very best of who we are,” said Steve Van Camp, CEO of American Senior Communities. “These individuals don’t just meet expectations; they raise them. They care deeply, work reliably, and treat every resident and coworker with dignity. Their commitment shines through in both the quiet moments and the big ones. We are grateful to each of our honorees for demonstrating what excellence looks like, every day.”

  • Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living (Fishers): Karla Kaufman, Guest Relations Specialist
  • Riverwalk Village (Noblesville): Olivia (Libby) Estrada, Social Services Director
  • Zionsville Meadows: Dannetta Sanders, LPN

Van Camp addressed the honorees, saying, “A Quest for Excellence winner is more than a good employee…more than a great employee. It is a special person who is a role model and an inspiration. It is someone who strives every day to do all they can to improve the health and well-being of residents, to be a trustworthy and dependable teammate, to nurture meaningful relationships, and to be a beacon of kindness and compassion, all in addition to displaying exceptional skills in their role. This describes all of you being honored tonight. Congratulations and a heartfelt thank you for all you do.”
