A few weeks ago, the INDOT design team for the interchange at 236th Street and U.S. 31 held a hearing at the Sheridan Community Center to present the preferred proposal for that interchange. At the request of Sheridan Economic Development Commission President Steve Martin, INDOT sent a drawing of the proposal for viewing at the Sheridan Public Library.

Martin notes that many Sheridan residents made it to the Community Center to see the final proposal and give feedback to the design team about the good and bad points of the project. But not all residents could be there that evening, so having the drawing at the library for viewing is a chance for the public to take a look and give valuable feedback. The drawing will remain in place through the end of January.

A more detailed discussion of the proposal will be an agenda item on the next Economic Development Commission meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20 in the Community Room of the Sheridan Public Library. Community members are invited to attend this meeting and offer their opinions about the proposed project.
