136^th Street paving

Beginning Monday, July 8, crews will be milling and paving West 136th Street from Towne Road to Spring Mill Road. This work is expected to last through Saturday, July 13, weather permitting. There will be a one-lane closure while work is active with a flagger to direct traffic.

I-465 bridge over 96^th Street

There will be night time closures on July 10 and 11 for the demolition of the I-465 bridge over 96th Street. There will not be closures July 8 and 9 as originally planned. Access to Hoosier Village from the east using Michigan Road and from the west using Zionsville Road will remain.

News from INDOT

There will be bridge resurfacing work over U.S. 31 in the following locations:

• West Carmel Drive, from Illinois Street to Pennsylvania Parkway, should be complete by Monday, July 8. Work will take place during the weekends only, from Fridays at 9 p.m. to Mondays at 6 a.m.
• West Main Street, from Illinois Street to Pennsylvania Parkway, will begin on or after Friday, July 12 and be completed by Monday, July 22. Work will take place during the weekends only, from Fridays at 9 p.m. to Mondays at 6 a.m.
• West 136th Street and Smoky Row, work will begin in August (schedule to come)

Cherry Tree Road over Vestal Ditch

Cherry Tree Road will be closed for 120 days during the bridge replacement between Streamside Drive and Klingensmith Boulevard that carries Cherry Tree Road over Vestal Ditch.
