The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced the start of paving work on U.S. 31 in Hamilton County.
On or after Monday, July 14, overnight lane closures will begin on U.S. 31 between 116th Street and 216th Street in Carmel and Westfield. Lane closures are planned between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly. At least one lane will remain open to traffic while work is in progress. Overnight ramp closures are also planned as paving progresses from south to north.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
