Just like their human counterparts, canines who enter law enforcement undergo a rigorous selection and training process. This week, Hamilton County’s newest K9 deputy, Moxy, completed her tracking certification and will hit the road with her partner, Deputy Nate Biddle. The two have been working together since December on the fundamentals of tracking and other law enforcement K9 work.

Moxy is an approximately one-year old female black Lab who was hired into the Sheriff’s Office late last year. In addition to tracking, Moxy is also working toward becoming certified in narcotics detection.
