Janet Rae (Stanley) Drayer

Janet Rae (Stanley) Drayer passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, with family by her side.

She was born on November 26, 1942, in Indianapolis to the late Raymond and Helen (Newby) Stanley. A graduate of Sheridan High School, Janet carried her roots with her always, holding close friendships and sense of community that shaped her early years.

Janet had a gift for making a house feel like home. She found joy in cooking, in gathering loved ones, and in the act of caring for others. Later in life, she extended that same generosity beyond her home, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and supporting philanthropic efforts close to her heart.

She was the beloved wife of Roger Drayer. Together, they found joy in traveling with friends and family and in giving back to their community.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by her children, Russell Drayer, Louisa Smith (Steven), Lori Tindall (Robert), Lorna Smith, and Jeffery Drayer (Keri). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Samantha, Joshua, Kerstin, Travis, Kayla, Alec, Jacob, Ryan, Joseph, Owen, and Molly; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lydia, Lyla, and Luna.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin David Drayer.

Janet will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and the joy she found in bringing people together.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Harbour Trees Golf Club, 333 Regents Park Lane, Noblesville. There will be a viewing from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a Tribute at 5 p.m. where everyone is welcome to share memories and stories. The celebration will continue afterward with food and drinks.
