IU Health North Hospital Jazz on the Monon series kicks off in new location on Saturday, June 3

The beauty and artistry synonymous with the Carmel Arts & Design District will extend beyond its galleries once again in the summer of 2017, this time with a historic twist. The popular IU Health North Hospital Jazz on the Monon free evening concert series kicks off from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight in its new location for 2017 at the Carmel Clay Historical Society Monon Depot, one block south of Main Street and the Monon Greenway.

IU Health North Hospital Jazz on the Monon welcomes the performers below for the 2017 season:

  • June 3 – Cathy Morris
  • June 17 – Monika Herzig
  • June 24 – Brenda Williams
  • July 22 – Tad Robinson
  • July 29 – Emma Hedrick & The Main Street Jazz Band
  • 5 – Slammer Jazz

Bring your own picnic, grab carry out from Arts & Design District restaurants, or purchase tasty treats from Bub’s Burgers food truck that will be on-site for the concert. Bub’s Café will also be open extended hours for those wishing to dine-in during the concert.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Carmel’s “Bike There, Borrow a Chair” program will provide a free lawn chair for the night if you prefer to bike to the event. At the end of the night, return the chair and bike home. The City encourages all bicyclists to bring their own locks to secure their bike during the event. Chairs for the program are supplied by the National Bank of Indianapolis.
