Indiana State Police Lieutenant Peter J. Glogoza promoted to Captain

Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter has announced the promotion of Lieutenant Peter J. Glogoza to the rank of Captain to serve as the Assistant Commander for the Special Investigations Division.

Glogoza is an experienced law enforcement officer who has served with the Indiana State Police for over two decades. He has demonstrated expertise in various areas, such as law enforcement investigative technologies, law enforcement instruction, and cybercrime investigations.

Glogoza started his career as a Trooper in 1997 and has held numerous roles within the organization, rising through the ranks. He has served in several sections, such as the Methamphetamine Suppression Section, Drug Enforcement Section, and the Cyber Crimes and Investigative Technologies Section. He has led technical investigations, provided guidance on lawful interception and cellular geolocation, and coordinated with other law enforcement agencies.

Glogoza earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI). He has also obtained several advanced training certifications to enhance his law enforcement credentials further. Recently, he graduated from the 287th session of the FBI National Academy.

Besides his primary roles, Glogoza has shared his expertise at various conferences. He has presented on topics such as Google Location Services, Tower Dump Best Practices, and investigative strategies for urgent threats.
